Apogee NOCO Launches 2-2-2 Hybrid Model for 2026-27

Northern Colorado Families Get a Faith-Based Alternative with Apogee NOCO’s 2-2-2 School Model

Loveland, United States – July 10, 2026 / Apogee NOCO /

Northern Colorado – Families across the region are navigating the growing tension between the flexibility of homeschooling and the structure of traditional private education. For parents who want both – along with a faith-centered foundation – Apogee NOCO is offering a distinct alternative through its Christian hybrid homeschool model designed specifically for Northern Colorado families.

Apogee NOCO operates as a hybrid homeschool academy built around the belief that parents should not have to choose between community and freedom, or between academic rigor and biblical values. The program is structured to partner directly with families, combining the support of a school environment with the adaptability of home-based learning.

The academy’s approach centers on a signature “2-2-2” Hybrid Model that divides the week into three distinct learning environments:

  • 2 Days In-Person: Students attend two days per week for collaborative, in-person instruction led by mentors focused on both academic development and character formation.
  • 2 Days Home-Based: Families engage in flexible, individualized learning at home, guided by structured curriculum that removes the guesswork from daily lesson planning.
  • 2 Spark Friday Excursions: On a bi-weekly basis, students participate in hands-on Friday excursions that move learning outside the classroom and into real-world settings, incorporating outdoor exploration and practical skills training.

“We aren’t just running a school; we are building a faith-centered community where young people develop the resilience, critical thinking, and leadership skills necessary to navigate and lead in the real world,” said Summer Hurd, Founder and Program Director of Apogee NOCO. “We are inviting Northern Colorado families to pull up a chair to our kitchen table, step away from broken, one-size-fits-all systems, and co-create a community where children learn to think critically, act courageously, and live with deep purpose.”

The Northern Colorado homeschool program draws on a broader national framework as well. Summer Hurd is an affiliate of the Apogee Strong national network, founded by educator Matt Beaudreau, who brings more than 30 years of educational and school-planting experience to the organization. Through that affiliation, Apogee NOCO accesses curriculum resources, business support, a national community, and leadership programs for both teens and adults.

The curriculum at Apogee NOCO integrates a biblical worldview with subject areas including STEM, financial literacy, consumer education, and the arts. The model is designed for families who are seeking an education that reflects their values without sacrificing academic depth or community connection.

Applications for the 2026-27 school year are currently open. Families interested in learning more about the Christian hybrid homeschool experience at Apogee NOCO are encouraged to reach out directly.
